About Michelle
Michelle lives in New City with her husband and two children, who attend Clarkstown schools. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist with more than 15 years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities, including five years in Boston Public Schools and more than ten years in the New York City Public Schools, along with extensive work in early intervention services for young children and their families.
She founded and leads an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Committee that trains school teams on best practices so students can build communication skills, access their education, and participate more independently. She regularly supervises graduate students and first-year clinicians, holds a degree in Educational Leadership, and maintains New York State certifications as a School Building Leader and School District Leader.

Get help
Most questions are resolved fastest by the people closest to your child. If an issue is not resolved at one step, move to the next.
Start with your child’s teacher, counselor, or coach for questions about a class, grades, or day-to-day concerns.
Contact the principal of your child’s school if the issue is not resolved. Find your school.
For district-wide questions, use the staff directory or the district’s Connect With Us page.
The Board sets policy and acts as a whole at public meetings. Email Michelle at mbondar@ccsd.edu or speak during a Board meeting.
Safety concern? In an emergency, call 911. To report a safety concern, use the district’s Anonymous Alerts system.
Regular Board meetings are generally held on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at the District Offices at Chestnut Grove. Dates, times, and locations can change, so check the 2026-27 meeting calendar and the agenda on BoardDocs before you go.
Public comment is governed by Board policy. For the current procedures, including any sign-up, contact the District Clerk or see the district policy manual.
Public sessions are streamed and archived on the district’s BOE Meetings page. Agendas, materials, and minutes are posted on BoardDocs.
Michelle is glad to hear from families. Because the Board acts as a whole, an individual trustee cannot resolve a specific student matter on her own. The school and district staff in the steps above can act directly, and they are usually the fastest route. Please do not send confidential student information through this website.
You can email Michelle at mbondar@ccsd.edu or speak during a Board meeting. Current information is on the district’s Annual Budget and District Policies pages.
